Nothing Phone (4b) and Ear (3a) Now Available in Malaysia, Starting from RM399
Nothing has added two new gadgets to its Malaysian lineup, and as expected, neither one looks like your typical smartphone or wireless earbuds. The company has officially launched the Nothing Phone (4b) and Nothing Ear (3a) in Malaysia, with open sales starting 20 September 2026. The Phone (4b) starts at RM1,599, while the Ear (3a) comes in at RM399.

The Phone (4b) is designed as a more accessible way to get into the Nothing ecosystem. It still carries the brand’s recognisable design, including the Glyph Bar on the back and a smooth unibody construction. So even though this is positioned as an entry-level option, Nothing hasn’t completely abandoned the design touches that make its phones stand out.Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 mobile platform.
Nothing is also putting plenty of emphasis on battery life, describing the Phone (4b) as having its longest-lasting smartphone battery to date.On the camera side, you get a 50MP camera system with both OIS and EIS for added stability. The phone can also record video at up to 4K.
The software is based on Android 16, with Nothing OS 4.1 running on top. Google Gemini and ChatGPT are also integrated into the experience. One thing worth noting is the software support. Nothing says the Phone (4b) will receive three major Android version updates and six years of security updates. For anyone who tends to keep a phone for several years, that could be more important than having the latest processor or camera hardware.
Nothing is offering an early-bird deal for the Phone (4b). From 8 September until 20 October 2026, the phone can be purchased for RM1,499, which is RM100 below its RM1,599 RRP. There are also some freebies thrown into the deal, although they’re only available while stocks last. Buyers will receive a Nothing Foldable Backpack and Nothing Phone Wrist Strap.

The second launch is the Nothing Ear (3a), a new pair of true wireless earbuds that continues Nothing’s transparent design. The charging case gets a new 3-LED matrix Status Light, with different light patterns providing visual feedback. But the more interesting part is what Nothing is adding to the earbuds beyond the usual music and calls. The Ear (3a) introduces Audio Capture, including a feature called Audio Snapshot that lets users save useful information from media playback. There’s also Call Recording, which can be used to keep important details from conversations for later reference. Whether you’ll actually use these features every day is another matter, but it’s a nice change from seeing yet another pair of earbuds whose main selling point is simply “better sound”.
For audio, the Ear (3a) comes with a 12mm dynamic driver and up to 45dB wideband Active Noise Cancellation. Nothing has also included Static Spatial Audio and an 8-band Advanced EQ. More audio settings can be adjusted through the Nothing X app. Battery life is rated at up to 42 hours when you include the charging case. If you’re running low, a five-minute quick charge can provide up to one hour of playback. There are four colours to choose from Pink, White, Yellow and Black. The price is RM399 in Malaysia.

Both products were available for online pre-order from 8 September 2026 at 8PM, through Nothing’s official website, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. From 20 September, Nothing has also expanded availability to authorised retailers nationwide.
The Phone (4b) is the more substantial launch, particularly for anyone curious about getting into the Nothing ecosystem without going for one of the company’s higher-end phones. Meanwhile, the Ear (3a) is the simpler proposition RM399 for a pair of transparent-looking earbuds with ANC, spatial audio, EQ controls and some additional audio features. On paper, both are interesting additions to the Malaysian gadget scene. The real test, of course will come when people start using them day to day.
