Buy a DJI Osmo, and You Could Be Heading to F1 at Sepang

If you’re already thinking about picking up a DJI Osmo camera, there’s now a pretty interesting reason to make that purchase sooner rather than later. DJI Malaysia has teamed up with Sepang International Circuit as its Official Action Camera Partner, bringing together DJI’s cameras and one of Malaysia’s biggest motorsport events.

And yes, there’s something in it for buyers too. From 18 to 27 September 2026, customers who purchase a DJI Osmo series camera will stand a chance to win tickets to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026, happening at PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit from 2 to 4 October 2026. Winners are set to be announced on 29 September. For more information on DJI Malaysia’s appointment as SIC Action Camera Partner, please view the official announcement on Facebook and Instagram.

The timing also makes sense considering DJI’s latest Osmo 360 II. Unlike a regular action camera where you need to think about where to point before hitting record, the Osmo 360 II lets you capture the whole scene in a single recording and decide on the angle later. That could be pretty handy when you’re trying to capture fast-moving cars while still getting yourself and the atmosphere around you into the shot.

On the hardware side, it comes with native 8K/60fps 360° video, a 1-inch square HDR sensor and 14.5-stop dynamic range. DJI has also included AI SuperNight 2.0 for low-light shooting, along with replaceable lenses and 105GB of built-in storage. For those who like getting creative with their footage, there are also features such as Spotlight Follow, Dual Recording, 4K/240fps 360° slow motion, 16K 360° Timelapse and 8K/120fps Vortex.

Of course, the F1 giveaway is probably going to be the more interesting part for anyone who’s already planning to buy an Osmo. So, if a new DJI Osmo has been sitting somewhere on your shopping list, 18–27 September might be worth keeping in mind. You get a new camera, and there’s a chance you could end up watching the action at Sepang in person. Not a bad bonus for a camera purchase.
